“I’m never happy losing but I am pleased with where we are at this stage of preparations,” Kettering manager Paul Cox said. “We were missing some players through injury or Covid but we are in a good place. We didn’t make any substitutions and you could tell late on we had some tired legs out there.”
Brackley could have been ahead in the opening minutes as first Wes York fired over when well placed and then Matt Lowe’s shot brought a sharp save.
