WREXHAM stole a march on mana-gerless play-off rivals Bromley with a comfortable home win and Dean Keates was pleased to shake off the cobwebs ahead of a busy, and tricky run of fixtures.
The Reds had 11 days without a game before this match – the first of several against their play-off rivals.
But after a sluggish start, Jordan Davies’ first goal for the club and a Dior Angus double ensured Wrexham stormed to a home win.
And manager Keates admitted the first goal had been crucial on the way to securing all three points.
“I’m very happy with it,” he said. “I thought we were a bit sloppy – the ten days off probably led to that – but a goal from a set play gave us our edge back and then we controlled the game.
“We adapted, we got the three points and it gives us a good boost going into more games against challengers for the play-off places.
