Brakes hit by top treble
DAVID MORGAN hit a hat-trick to fire Southport up to third place with their fourth straight win.
Morgan continued his outstanding individual form, taking his tally to seven goals in six games, as the momentum within the Port squad gathers pace.
Only 53 seconds had passed when Morgan grabbed his first goal to put the home team on their way. Brad Bauress was also on the scoresheet to complete a memorable afternoon for Southport, leaving manager Liam Watson delighted.
“The first 20 minutes were exactly what we wanted,” he said. “At 2-1, I thought Leamington were playing well but decided to make some substitutions and Morgs deservedly got a hat-trick.
“We’ve got a central midfielder who is now in double figures and that says it all.
