Striker Palmer is reunited with his old boss
ON-SONG Crawley striker Ollie Palmer has credited assistant manager Lee Bradbury for helping him hit the goal trail since the turn of the year.
Former Portsmouth and Manchester City forward Bradbury arrived at The People’s Pension Stadium as assistant manager in December to link up with new boss John Yems.
Palmer had enjoyed a prolific spell under Bradbury when he managed Havant & Waterlooville, so he was more than happy to renew acquaintances.
The 28-year-old officially notched six goals in January to earn a nomination for League Two player of the month, though he’s sure he bagged another that went down as an own goal at Colchester on New Year’s Day.

“It’s probably no coincidence I’ve had my best form under Lee Bradbury,” Palmer told The FLP. “He’s taken to his new role here like a duck to water and both him and the manager are real football men who have been in the game a long time.
