Local Family Help Raise Over £9,000 For SANDS Charity

A SPONSORED spin has taken place in Dungiven as part of the fund raising for SANDS, a still birth and neonatal charity which supports anyone affected by the death of a baby.
The charity event was held on Sunday morning at C3 Fitness in Dungiven, along with 58 volunteers who managed to raise an impressive total of £4,070.
“It exceeded our goals,” said organiser Colleen Moran, a Dungiven mother who lost her baby son Arlo in April this year. “I would just like to say a big thank you to Claire McLaughlin, the fitness instructor whose idea it was to organise the whole event.
“There were four sessions altogether which lasted for a total of 90 minutes. Me and my husband, Jonny took part in the first session along with Arlo’s family members and cousins.”
