It’s a girl!’ the midwife smiled.

Pregnant with my second, I was over the moon.

‘We’ve already got a girl!’ my partner Stephen, 33, huffed.

But deep down he was chuffed, and he already doted on our daughter Isabelle, 3.

My pregnancy was different this time, though. I was sick constantly, unlike with Isabelle.

‘This girl’s giving me grief!’ I said to my mum Carol, 51.
