Delta Goodrem has revealed plans to become a mum – with or without a man in her life.

The hugely-adored singer made the shock revelation to friends recently, sharing that 2018 is the year she hopes to make her long-awaited baby dream come true. And while Delta has struggled to find lasting romance over the years, she says she’s not going to let that stop her from starting her own family.

‘Delta is sick of waiting for love to come and tap her on the shoulder,’ says a source close to The Voice star. ‘She’s had beautiful love stories with men over the years and it’s no-one’s fault that those relationships didn’t blossom into marriage or something more.

‘But Delta has decided that the time is right to have a baby and she’s tired of waiting around. She’s a strong, independent, successful woman who doesn’t need a man to make her dreams come true. She’s inspired by so many strong role models around her and sees now that she doesn’t need a ring on her finger in order to decide that the time is right to have a baby.

‘Delta said that if she fell pregnant tomorrow, she’d be more than happy to raise this baby alone. She wants 2018 to be the year she becomes a mum and is now looking into all her options to make that happen.’
