Fujifilm X100F

Refining The Compact Rangefinder

The X100F is Fujifilm’s latest version of their line of premium compact cameras. It gets the latest 24.3MP X-Trans III CMOS sensor from their top-end X-Pro 2 and X-T2 cameras, as well as the high performance X Processor Pro imaging engine, making it much more capable than the X100T it replaces.

For example, where the X100T had a top continuous shooting speed of 6fps for a paltry maximum of 25 frames, the X100F now goes up to 8fps for up to 60 frames. It also gains 325 selectable auto focus points in single auto focus mode, and the AF-lever we first saw on the X-Pro2. This makes it easier for you to shift auto focus points, navigate the menus, and change the size of the focus group (by pressing in).

Perhaps owing to the fact that the X100F now uses the same batteries as the X-T2 (the NP-W126S), it is now slightly taller than its predecessor, measuring 126.5 x 74.8 x 52.4mm as opposed to126.5x 74.4x 52.4mm of the X100T. The grip is also slightly deeper, but the difference is so little you would hardly notice it.

SO SMALL, SO CUTE. HAIYOOO...

As giant triple-slot GPUs dominate the market, Gigabyte's RTX 5060 OC Low Profile stands out as a rare compact option that delivers full-sized performance. It fits small-form-factor builds, matches larger cards in most games, and sips power - with higher thermals the only real trade-off.

SMALL WRIST, BIG DISPLAY

In my previous review of the Pixel Watch 3, I expounded on why 45mm was the perfect size for Google's smartwatch. Naturally, when the Pixel Watch 4 was announced, Google sent me the 41mm version instead. And guess what? I've grown to love it.

A RETURN TO FORM

After the catastrophe of Battlefield 2042, expectations for EA and DICE's next entry couldn't have been lower. But Battlefield 6 is a grounded, stable, and gloriously chaotic return to form that reminds players why they fell in love with the series in the first place.

CHAOS, BUT FINALLY FUN AGAIN

Borderlands 4 shouldn't have won me over-but it did. Gearbox's latest entry dials back the noise, sharpens the chaos, and rekindles the fun at the series' core, delivering a leaner, faster, surprisingly addictive return to form.

STILL GREAT, BUT SMALL UPGRADES

Apple's new Watch lineup – the Ultra 3, Series 11, and SE 3 – looks exciting at first glance, but most of the upgrades are incremental. For recent owners, it's a year of refinement rather than reinvention.
