Shooting Extreme Wide Angle

While most photographers prefer to use prime and mid range zoom lenses for their day to day photography, extreme wide angle shots are stealing the show slowly but surely. With manufacturers pushing for and producing ultra wide and fish eye lenses the consumers are attracted to this ‘new’ point of view! Keeping that in mind we decided it was imminent that we gave out some tips to shoot amazing wide angle pictures!
Not Just Landscape
As soon as we say wide angle photo we think of landscapes. Our eyes are capable of almost seeing 180 degrees of a scene and wide angle comes closest to emulating that. Landscapes and wide vistas look amazing in wide angle lenses. But there is more to shooting with a wide angle than just landscape photography. Street photography, interior photography and even portraiture can look quite good when it comes to shooting wide angle. Wide angle HDR photos also change the look and feel of a photo compared to the same frame shot with a normal lens in HDR. Underwater photography makes extensive use of wide angle lens to avoid having to accurately focus on a subject. So, let’s discuss the other points and see how wide angle can be used in other areas of photography as well.
