WHAT IS YOUR BACKGROUND? HAS IT ALWAYS INVOLVED MAKING FURNITURE?
I left school when I was 15. After that, I got together with a lot of rugby guys and we started a demolition company where we pulled down old houses. I ended up filling my dad’s garage with old recycled wood. And he told me, in a polite way, to do something with the wood. And that’s when I started to make basic recycled furniture and selling it to every member of the family for like a year and a half.
And then I moved to Los Angeles when I was 18. Over there I worked with an architect.
