THERE’S NOTHING LIKE A TIGHT DEADLINE to fast-track your renovation plans. Husband and wife team Zoe and Jimi Paul, the duo behind women’s resort wear brand Mister Zimi, bought their original worker’s cottage in Byron Bay in 2016, with plans of stripping it back to its shell and modernising the entire interior. But the discovery that Zoe was pregnant with their third child sped up the process somewhat. “I gave our builders a very tight timeframe of about four months,” Zoe tells. “No one wants to mess with a heavily pregnant woman who plans on moving in just after her baby is born!”
