The year was 1956, when two young entre-preneurs Francesco Malberti and Luigi Riboldi combined their skill sets and set up a small glassmaker business under the name Rima Vetraria in Desio, in the heart of Brianza, Italy. They worked for other furniture companies and made flat panes of glass.

THE BEGINNING

Rimadesio soon blossomed into a full industrial production using environmentally-friendly glass and aluminium - the company’s icon materials - which allowed it to fabricate a milieu for creatively redefining the living space using technological innovative systems.

As the years flew by, the production steadily grew on to include doors, sliding panels, shelving units, walk-in closets, tables, swing doors and a collection of complementary furniture, lending it a brisk upward growth that gave birth to the brand’s signature style.
