Aamir Sharma of AANDH designs a luxurious and resort-feel vacation home in Hyderabad

On the banks of the Osman Sagar Lake in Hyderabad, lies the home-away-from-home of Anand and Kranthi Mantena. Designed by Aamir Sharma of Aamir And Hameeda Associates, the property sits high in the corner of nine acres of landscaped land. Amply justifying its holiday-home status is the pool with views of the lake, and the lush green courtyards, encompassing the home. All of its 986 sq mt of structure lies close to the ground, aka it is single-storied. A rarity in newly-built homes, Aamir Sharma explains, ‘The clients gave me a free-hand, and were very open to ideas. However, they wanted a double-storied home, which I convinced them against. Since it was a large plot, I wanted to use the large lay of land, and thus created the concept of a courtyard-filled home.’
