Original vintage art finds a nostalgic home in this city apartment designed by Ridhi Agarwal, Parikshat Hemrajani and Yashvi Shah of Hipcouch

A pixelated floral wallpaper adorns the ceiling, and in the background is a niche that houses an antique piece of art. Fan by Anemos
A floral wallpaper ceiling adds an interesting pattern while a carpet from Jaipur rugs seems to mirror it on the floor. The teak wood coffee table and bar in the background have been customised, the accessories are from Ikai Asai and Pure Concept Home
When 36 year old, financial writer and art connoisseur, Bijou George first saw this apartment, “it was a brutalist monstrosity before they took it over and broke it down to bare walls. It had badly grouted vitrified tiles, tacky wooden laminate in the master bedroom, and dingy floors on the balconies," he shares. He was clear that he wanted his home to exude a sense of belonging, and nostalgia for his South Indian roots,” the one thing that would make this house a home. He wanted to maximise the context of the apartment, that sits perched on the top of a monolithic tower like an island surrounded by the sea, with spectacular views," says Parikshat.
