MOST OF THE MUSEUMS OF the modern era are great architectural masterpieces in themselves, designed to draw the casual viewer in to see the invaluable collections of paintings and sculptures. Whether it be the Holocaust Museum by Libeskind, or the hauntingly beautiful Foundation Louis Vuitton by Gehry, the modern museum could in some ways be first called a tourist attraction, and then a place for contemplating the meaning of life through art.
