EXPERT ADVICE
Anna Del Molino, Carpetright As the weather warms it is worth considering your garden as an extension of your home. Carefully choosing a selection of weatherproof furniture and accessories will help you make the most of your outdoor space. Outdoor rugs are the perfect accompaniment to a paved or tiled area, bringing depth, texture and colour onto your floor. Well placed rugs can help to zone outdoor areas, not only creating different styled areas but also adding to the functionality of a space by warming a dining or seating area; making the flooring softer underfoot for when shoes are kicked off. When selecting an outdoor rug ensure it is durable, stain resistant and easy to clean; many can be washed with a power hose to keep it looking pristine. Consider an indoor/outdoor rug that can be used both inside and out throughout the year.
