Aarrti Zaveri - An Artist

Aarrti Zaveris understanding of the complexities of human emotions started when she was commissioned by the Ministry of Defence, India to do a series of Portraits of the Gallant Soldiers and martyrs of the Indian Army who were awarded the Param Vir Chakra (the highest gallantry award).

Her portraits of Param Vir Chakra Awardees adorn the corridors of South Block. Numerous figurative sketches and paintings that she made over the years resulted in a series entitled ‘Masks’, which exhibit her love towards oil paintings, human emotions, colours and strokes – both on canvas and multimedia.
