My installation The Lamp of Sacrifice, 286 Places of Worship, dinburgh, 2004 brings together a collection of scale replicas of religious buildings.

Using cardboard panels, I reconstructed all of the city’s places of worship (as listed in the Yellow Pages at the time), and presented them in direct confrontation with one another by clustering them together in the gallery space. In doing so, the work highlights the manner in which religious buildings are characterised by conflicting theological ideologies.
