The design polymath JJ Valaya steps into the world of home decor with an experiential concept store in New Delhi
Glamour takes centrestage in the JJ Valaya flagship store with the artisanal handmade F. & C. Osler circa 1840 inspired chandelier. The Rumeli console with the Moderne sofa, cushions crafted from authentic classic Jamawar shawls and an antique wooden horse add panache to the space. In the backdrop is a set of three Bhutanese hand painted works of goddess Tara
Inspiration has many channels but the precursor to creativity is perspective. A thread of thought that weaves vision from pieces. For JJ Valaya who is in love with all things Indian but tempted and fascinated by cultural influences of the East, the world is his playground for art and design. And his newest concept store is the canvas that encapsulates his effortless flair in all that he has pursued and perfected. The World of Valaya is a 12,000 sq ft concept store spanning two levels at JW Marriott Aerocity in New Delhi bringing together luxury, fashion, lifestyle as well as a nuanced take on the arts.
