Buying the house two years ago, the owners have completed a substantial renovation, which included demolishing an existing extension and outbuildings and building a new extension to accommodate a bespoke new kitchen, utility and pantry. When it came to researching and finding the ideal kitchen designer to create their dream entertaining space, the couple were already well prepared. ‘We completed a full renovation of another house in Rathgar in 2014 and as part of that project we visited numerous kitchen companies and showrooms. This time around we had a very clear vision of what we wanted and found inspiration from various sources including magazines, restaurants, hotels and online searches. We choose Woodale because of their ability to create something different. We are keen cooks and like to entertain and we wanted a welcoming space that would allow us to use the kitchen as an entertaining area opening onto the garden rather than having to use our more formal drawing room and dining room.
