Despite being happy with their home in the Scottish Borders, Victoria Tweedie was keen to buy a flat in Edinburgh for weekend stays, and she had a clear idea of the location – the buzzing New Town. ‘I absolutely love this part of Edinburgh as it’s just around the corner from where my very first flat was,’ says Victoria. ‘It’s full of unique and quirky shops, great dog-friendly pubs and brilliant restaurants. There are so many beautiful apartments throughout New Town, but it was important to me that I was really close to all the fantastic amenities of Broughton Street – I think the whole point of living in a city should be to have everything you need on your doorstep.’
