Catalina Ungureanu of By Katerina is glad she didn’t realise the challenge she had taken on with her first big project

Crochet is something I learned in my childhood from my mom. She didn’t teach me, I just saw what she was doing and started to copy her. It wasn’t something that I liked or wanted to do, but it was just fascinating.
My willingness to design crochet clothes didn’t come from my love of crochet. Crochet was the bridge. I was always fascinated by the idea of making clothes for myself. I used my mom’s old clothes in my childhood and made different things to wear for myself. Once I knew how to use a sewing machine I started sewing clothes because I never imagined that you could do so many things with crochet.
