Premier Serenity Big Ombré bulky (chunky) weight acrylic yarn (81/4oz/273 yds/250g per skein): 2 skeins #1075-02 denim (scarf takes a little more than 1 skein, remaining yarn completes hat)
Size K/101/2/6.5mm crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge
Tapestry needle
GAUGE
12 sc or 12 pattern reps = 4 inches; 12 rows = 4 inches
PATTERN NOTES
Chain-1 at beginning of row does not count as first single crochet.
Hat is worked from the top down in rounds of single crochet; each round is not joined but marked with a length of different-colored yarn that is carried down each round.
The turned back cuff is started right after last row of single crochet on main body of hat and is worked side to side in pattern, turning after each row.
PATTERN STITCH
Foundation row: Ch designated amount, starting in 2nd ch from hook, 1 sc in each ch across row, turn.
