• Berroco Vintage DK light (DK) weight acrylic/wool/nylon yarn (31/2oz/290 yds/100g per hank): 4 hanks #2197 Neptune
• Size G/6/4mm crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge
• Tapestry needle
GAUGE
18 dc = 4 inches; 12 rows = 4 inches
PATTERN NOTES
This triangular shawl is worked from the top down with increases worked at both ends and the center. The edge is worked in a few rows of joined chains to mimic fringe.
Every increase row adds 8 stitches to the number of stitches on previous row.
Weave in loose ends as work progresses.
Chain-3 at beginning of row counts as the first double crochet.
Chain-1 at beginning of row counts as first single crochet.
Chain-4 at the beginning of the row counts as first double crochet and chain-1.
SPECIAL STITCHES
Bobble: Yo, insert hook in indicated st, yo, pull up a lp, yo and draw through 2 lps (2 lps on hook), [yo, insert hook in same st, yo, pull up a lp, yo and draw through 2 lps] 3 times (5 lps on hook), yo, draw through all 5 lps. (Bobbles will appear on WS.)
Chain-3 picot (picot): Ch 3, sl st into first ch.
