The outbreak of COVID-19 across the world, lead to chaos leaving most isolated. For the ones who couldn’t return to their hometowns, it was OTT platforms that came as a rescue and kept them engaged through the tough times. While on one hand social distancing prevailed in the outside world, one saw family members getting together and glued to the same screen.
Even for the Bollywood and Pollywood industry – technology became a saviour during the lockdown. Film industry went through a paradigm shift as the world of content was brought to digital platforms.
The demand for OTT propelled filmmakers to experiment with this medium as it opened new avenues. For Director & Producer Gabbar Sangrur who had already proved his mettle in 2019 with his directorial Punjabi web series – Gangland in Motherland, lockdown inspired him to back a love tale revolving around lockdown.
