I recently saw Belleville at the Donmar Warehouse, which is about a couple [played by James Norton and Imogen Poots] who emigrate to France.
It was intense: I was laughing virtually every minute for the first hour, but then it got dark. I went to see it because I’m quite good friends with James, but Imogen was also incredible. She completely stole the show!
When I was little, I’d write plays with my friend Emma on her dad’s computer.
They would always be so dramatic, with everyone crying. The children my mum looked after in her job as a childminder would pretend to be asleep so they could get out of being in them. I then grew up to be quite a shy person – going red when anyone spoke to me – but three years ago, I decided I needed to find my way back into acting.
