We get it. In this rampant age of social media, it’s hard not to feel left out (does “FOMO” ring a bell, anyone?) and that there’s something exciting going on around the corner – but the truth is, gate-crashing something you’re not invited to is just a massive faux pax. It’s not really about draining the host’s food and drinks supply – it’s about imposing your presence on an unwitting bunch of people. Though first impressions shouldn’t matter, the last thing you want is to be remembered as that lout who turned up unannounced and spoilt an otherwise pleasant night out for everyone.
