Breitling may have made its home in the sky, but it has found new prospects in the sea with its legendary Superocean diver.

In 1957, Breitling discovered that the sea offers just as much possibility as the sky when it launched the Superocean, the brand’s first dive watch featuring a monohull case and reinforced glass for water resistance to 200m (an exceptional technical feat in its time). Originally made for professional and military divers, the watch soon gained a following among leisure mariners and horological enthusiasts as well, and over the years, the collection expanded to include increasingly functional models in simple and chronograph versions, surpassing its initial watertightness with depths of up to 2,000m.
