She’s already been branded “Davina Rankin 2.0”, but the name-calling doesn’t bother Married At First Sight’s youngest wife Jessika in the slightest – she’s faced far greater challenges in her 26 years and it’s given her perspective.

A heartbreaking event that has impacted the part-time model’s life forever played out 18 months ago, and its ramifications are what drove Jessika to sign up to the show.

In mid-2017, Jess, then 24, was smitten with her boyfriend, whose name we’re told was Eddy. He had striking blue eyes and a muscly physique.

“They’d been dating for about 10 weeks. They fell for each other very quickly and would drop the L-word regularly,” recalls a family friend. “Eddy, particularly, was really in love with Jess and acted like a puppy dog around her.”
