In need of help, she meets a man called Julian – but he’s not what he seems…
Having hitched a ride from Paris in the boot of a car, Villanelle has made it to England… Basildon in Essex, to be precise! Still, in pain from the stab wound to her stomach, the psychopath heads to a local supermarket to find help.
Villanelle soon attracts the attention of mild-mannered shopper Julian (played by The Mighty Boosh’s Julian Barratt). She claims that she’s trying to flee her abusive stepdad, and Julian agrees to protect the ‘damsel in distress’.
