Harold Shipman’s patients in Hyde, Greater Manchester, thought he was the perfect GP. But in fact he was Britain’s most prolific serial killer, murdering at least 215 patients over a 27-year period.
On the 20th anniversary of his arrest, a new ITV documentary looks at how he got away with murder for so long, unbeknown to everybody, including his family and close friends.
