Joe finds it difficult to deal with Paul and Alison’s split as The A Word returns

Family life with autistic son Joe has always been loving but challenging for the Hughes clan in The A Word but, as the drama begins its third series, their troubles increase.
Set two years on from the last run, Joe (Max Vento) is now 10 and he’s finding it hard to cope with the huge changes at home because dad Paul (Lee Ingleby) and mum Alison (Morven Christie) have separated.
