George McGavin puts cancer under the microscope as he fights his battle against a deadly form of the disease.
Eight months after spotting an unusual blemish on his foot, broadcaster, zoologist and a regular contributor to The One Show George McGavin began treatment for malignant melanoma.
If this deadly form of skin cancer hadn’t been caught, his doctor said it would have killed him within a year.
