Over two series of Jamestown, the period drama about the first English settlers in Virginia, the three women at the heart of the story have enjoyed mixed fortunes since arriving in the New World.

Haughty Jocelyn (Naomi Battrick) married the company recorder, but was widowed and, after becoming a landowner, saw her entire crop destroyed in a fire secretly orchestrated by Governor George Yeardley (Jason Flemyng).

Farm girl Alice (Sophie Rundle) was raped by her intended, the brutish Henry Sharrow (Max Beesley), but then found true love with his younger brother Silas (Stuart Martin).

Meanwhile, thief Verity (Niamh Walsh), who tried to run away when she discovered that her future husband Meredith (Dean Lennox Kelly) was the town drunk, was accused of witchcraft and pilloried in the stocks.
