Cruel Intentions

In the award-winning drama series Doctor Foster, writer Mike Bartlett captured the devastating fallout from an affair. Now he is cranking up tension in the workplace as he explores the impact of office bullying in another powerful ITV drama, Sticks and Stones.

The new three-parter centres on high-achieving Thomas Benson (Ken Nwosu), who works in a Reading business park for a company supplying services for offices. But when Thomas messes up a crucial pitch to an important client, his life spirals out of control.

‘Thomas is ambitious and has worked hard to achieve his dreams,’ explains Nwosu, 28, whose credits include Killing Eve. ‘He has prepared for this presentation and is confident – but what occurs has a domino effect he’s not prepared for.’
