Body of EVIDENCE

NEW CRIME DRAMA

Unforgotten

Monday, ITV HD, 9pm

The last instalment of ITV crime drama Unforgotten in 2018 reached a truly chilling climax as DCI Cassie Stuart and her sidekick DI Sunil ‘Sunny’ Khan learnt that local GP Dr Tim Finch had killed a string of young women over several years.

Following the trauma of that case, Cassie (Nicola Walker) has made the decision to retire from the police force for her own mental health. But she faces an impossible dilemma when she learns she isn’t entitled to her full pension unless she completes her 30 years of service.

As Cassie reluctantly goes back to work, she and Sunny (Sanjeev Bhaskar) investigate after the dismembered body of a young man, Matthew Walsh, is discovered in a London scrap metal yard.

It turns out that the body had been stored in a freezer for 30 years, and as the drama unfolds, the team trace the purchase of the freezer to Robert Fogerty – only to learn that he recently died.

MYSTERIOUS DEATH

As they investigate Fogerty’s past, they discover a drink-driving conviction on the same night that Matthew went missing 30 years ago. Records show there were four passengers in the car with him at the time – do they know anything about Matthew’s death?

With guest stars Sheila Hancock, Susan Lynch, Phaldut Sharma, Liz White, Andy Nyman and Lucy Speed on board, this promises to be another gripping series.

We caught up with Walker, 50, and Bhaskar, 57, to find out more…

Where do we find Cassie and Sunny when the series returns?
