A feisty new Lois Lane is getting her own series with Superman soon

- Tara Bennett

BITSIE TULLOCH

Many amazing actresses have filled the practical pumps of comic book legend/ award-winning journalist Lois Lane. From Teri Hatcher to Amy Adams, there’s been a Lois for every taste since the ’40s. But for the latest Lois (of The CW’s universe), actress Elizabeth “Bitsie”

Tulloch admits she’s always looked to Margot Kidder, of Richard Donner’s Superman films, as her preferred Lane. Tulloch tells SFX that she’s had a lifetime of being told that she resembles Kidder, as well as loving Kidder’s sassy take on the reporter. “She was having so much fun with the role,” Tulloch enthuses. “There was a joyfulness about all of Margot Kidder’s choices as an actor.”

Invoking the spirit of that performance, Tulloch has now played Lane in two Arrowverse crossovers, and will co-star in a new series, Superman And Lois, with Tyler Hoechlin as Superman/Clark. She tells us about the highs and lows of series-surfing in the Crisis On Infinite Earths as Lane…

How tough was it playing Lois across several different Arrowverse series?

People are always thinking, “Oh, it must be so hard being on all these different shows.” The reality is the character is the same for me. It is no different showing up on Legends and playing Lois than it is showing up on

STRANGE JOURNEY THE STORY OF ROCKY HORROR

“I loved every minute of it,” says Tim Curry of filming The Rocky Horror Picture Show in 1974. Barry Bostwick has another take: “I was wet and miserable most of the time.” The one thing they do agree on, however, is that the result was a milestone in cinema history.
