Texan guitar maestro Stevie Ray was a veritable powerhouse. His style is a trickbag of blues and rock techniques, with Albert King style phrasing plus healthy dollops of Jimi Hendrix and Lonnie Mack - not to mention a tone to die for. His vocabulary is a must-learn to spice up your bluesy rhythm and solos. Stevie wore his influences proudly, so that key ingredients can be clearly heard, but what he did so magnificently was to blend them together with his own unique approach and attitude.
