I Want To Represent Jesus In My Work
Direction Magazine
|September 2017
Being a GP means a busy schedule for Evangeline Millar but she makes sure to remember to do what Jesus would do during her working day and remain compassionate under stressful conditions.

An Irish GP has explained how her role gives her an opportunity to be a representative of Jesus in the health field.
Evangeline Millar, wife to Kenny and mother of teenage daughter Hannah, attends Portadown Elim Church in Northern Ireland, but her profession has become her passion as she throws her relationship with Jesus into all she does.
“My walk with Jesus means that I want to represent him the very best that I can in my work,” she tells Direction.
“First of all, when dealing with patients and relatives, I want to be compassionate, be ready to listen, and involve them in the decisions that are being made. I want to avoid being proud or unapproachable, and I aim to do my very best for every patient.
