Techlife News
|September 15, 2018
It would be hard to imagine a September without an iPhone event, and this month did not disappoint.

THE NEXT-GENERATION iPHONE IS HERE
On September 12, Tim Cook and friends took to the stage at the Steve Jobs Theater on the Apple Park Campus in Cupertino, California for its much-publicized ‘Gather Round’ event, where the firm showed off its next-generation iPhones. Although many of the features were rumored - indeed, the iPhone XS was leaked several weeks before its official unveiling - the keynote did include some surprises, including the announcement of a lower-cost iPhone.

In this week’s edition, we delve deeper into one of the most exciting keynote presentations in Apple history and explore some of the features of the brand new iPhone XS, XS Max, and more.
iPHONE XS AND XS MAX: SUPERPOWERED iPHONES
Last year’s iPhone X - the first iPhone to be shipped without a home button - was a revolution, with the company selling more than 60 million units in less than a year. But whilst the device offered an array of features not previously available on the iPhone, including Face ID and Animoji, some criticized the X for its small screen real estate, having become familiar with Apple’s Plus-sized phablets. All of that changed at the September iPhone event, when Tim Cook announced the brand new iPhone XS and XS Max, next-generation iPhones packed with a slew of features and stunning design options that open up opportunities for users around the world.
