The New Red iPhones: Weapons In The Fight Againts Aids

THE (RED) iPHONE HAS ARRIVED

There’s a new color for the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus! Yes, that’s right - a sixth one to go with the Jet Black, Black, Silver, Gold and Rose Gold finishes in which the 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch handsets can already be purchased. However, the new color is especially striking and remarkable - and not just because of how it looks. It’s a deep, crimson red, which is on the first iPhones to join Apple’s (PRODUCT)RED range intended to help the (RED) charity raise funds for fighting HIV and AIDS.

TWO NEW iPHONES IN A BEAUTIFUL RED FINISH

On Tuesday, March 21, Apple announced, via press release, what it called the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus (PRODUCT)RED Special Edition. Both phones are available to purchase right now online and at stores in 128GB and 256GB configurations priced identically - so, from $749 in the US - to the equivalent models in the finishes that have already been available since September.

On the inside, the new phones pack all of the usual functionality of the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. So, out of the box, they come with iOS 10 preinstalled, along with water and dust resistance, a pressure-sensitive Home button utilizing Force Touch, and - yes - the complete absence of a dedicated headphone jack. On the outside, however, they look very different - and, we have no hesitation in saying, gorgeous - with a white front and silver Apple logo and Home button outline.
