The Scarlet Pimpernel is a small bright red flower that belongs to the family of Primroses. The plant is actually a weed that grows wildly on the sides of roads, in marshes and meadows all over the world.

The egg shaped leaves are pale green in colour with black spotted undersides.

The flowers are mostly red in colour though there are blue and white varieties, too!
