Love Island Australia host Sophie Monk and her new groom Joshua Gross may have rushed the planning for their secret wedding ceremony, but time stood still for the ecstatic couple as they exchanged vows before just a handful of select guests.

Just as they revealed to WHO last year while discussing their wedding plans that it would be a "low-key" affair, the loved-up pair eloped on March 21 at their home on the NSW Central Coast in a ceremony that was just about them.

Worried that a crowd would turn their special day into a "whole big saga” and that Monk would slide into "full performance mode”, the couple, who met over a few champagnes on a long-haul flight from San Francisco to Sydney in 2018, enjoyed all the glamour without the drama.

"I have a hubby!” Monk declared after tying the knot. “We eloped-ish at home," she elaborated on Instagram.
