There were high hopes that the death of Prince Philip would help heal the rift in the British royal family. But after being briefly united in their grief, brothers Prince William and Prince Harry seem further apart than ever.

Harry made a hasty retreat back to his Californian home on April 20, just three days after his grandfather’s funeral and a day before the Queen’s 95th birthday.

A source close to the Duke of Sussex, 36, revealed that the prince was eager to reunite with his heavily pregnant wife Meghan Markle, 39, after she failed to receive medical clearance to fly with him. “Harry felt terrible leaving Meghan behind, it has been a very hard week and he wants to get back to her as soon as possible,” the source explained to Vanity Fair magazine.
