I Sanil “Sunny” Maharaj (Jack Devnarain) has gleefully been using kidnapping victim Zithulele Bhengu (Raphael Griffiths) to taunt the Bhengu family and Maluju’s management, including the Rampersad's. But despite getting the absurd ransom he demanded, Sunny isn’t willing to let Zithulele go just yet. He has one more demand: sex with his ex Nirupa Rampersad (Jailoshini Naidoo). She’s appalled but also reluctantly intrigued.

“She hates him and at the same time there’s an unspoken attraction that she is fighting against constantly,” admits Jailoshini. “When he makes his indecent proposal, she’s horrified, shocked at his audacity. Yet she is more furious with herself because somewhere deep down, he’s stirring something that she thought she buried. She hates everything he stands for, yet they shared so much and she saw his softer side.”
