Tom & Suri's Emotional Reunion

After six years apart, a regretful Tom Cruise is looking to reconnect with his teenage daughter. But will it be too little, too late for Suri?

It was the message she’d been waiting for. After years of reaching out to her dad and getting no response, Suri Cruise finally received word from her father, Tom Cruise. In a heartfelt and heartbreaking message, the 57-year-old actor told his daughter how much he’d missed her, and that he desperately wanted to see her again. “Suri had pretty much given up, and then one day Tom’s email appeared,” a source tells Star. “He explained why he’d been absent all these years, and said he hoped to make it up to her if it wasn’t too late.”

It wasn’t. According to the insider, 13-year-old Suri was overjoyed to hear from her father following his long and painful absence. Shortly after Tom and Katie Holmes, Suri’s mom, divorced in 2012, the star — a staunch Scientologist — reportedly distanced himself from Suri because Katie had renounced the controversial religion. But now, as Star can exclusively reveal, Tom desperately wants to reconnect with his youngest child — and, at long last, they’re on the verge of finally reuniting! “Word is they have plans to get together the next time he’s in New York City,” says the insider. “Tom adores Suri and wants to be involved in her life.”
