LORI LOUGHLIN’S first days at the Dublin Federal Correctional Institution in California were worse than she could have predicted. “It was dreadful,” says an insider, adding that the actress — who began a two-month prison stint on Oct. 30 for paying $500,000 to secure her two daughters’ admission to the prestigious University of Southern California — went into culture shock the moment the metal doors clanged shut behind her. “Handing over her clothes, including her underwear, and being searched was humiliating,” the insider reveals. “Her prison uniform is cheap and smells like disinfectant. She couldn’t eat or sleep.”

And, because of Covid-19, as soon as she arrived, the Fuller House star was promptly quarantined for two weeks. Now, she’s alone in a cell for 24 hours a day, and overwhelmed with dread over what lies ahead when she joins the general population. “Lori knows she’s a target because she’s a celebrity,” the insider says.
