Y&R: PHYLLIS BUSTS SALLY AND TARA

To get to the bottom of how Sally orchestrated Summer’s exit from Genoa City, Phyllis realizes that she must speak directly to fashion designer Angelina Marchetti, who Summer works for in Milan, without sounding like a meddlesome mom. When Phyllis discovers that Angelina is meeting with Eric Forrester in Los Angeles, she heads to the West Coast. “Phyllis arrives at Forrester Creations and finds Eric and Angelina together,” says Michelle Stafford (Phyllis). “Phyllis claims that she’s in L.A. on business and wanted to thank Angelina in person for giving Summer this wonderful job. ”

Angelina praises Summer as an exciting addition to her company and adds that she has Eric to thank for personally recommending Summer for the position. That surprises Phyllis, but she’s really taken aback when Eric admits that he did so as a favor to Sally. “Phyllis can’t believe that Sally would go to such extremes,” notes Stafford. “Phyllis knew that Sally was in some way behind this, but how involved really catches Phyllis off-guard.”
