PUT A RING ON IT: Quinn shows Zende the engagement ring she created for him. Zende hopes that Paris loves him the way he loves her. Zende tells Paris and Carter that he has something extraordinary planned for Paris. When Zende leaves, Paris confides in Carter that she has reservations about getting more serious in her relationship with Zende.... Zende sweetly practices his proposal to Paris.... Quinn innocently lets Carter know about Zende’s impending marriage proposal.... Paris is apprehensive about her date with Zende at Il Giardino.... Carter sends a text to Paris while she’s on her date with Zende giving her the heads-up about the proposal. Paris reads Carter’s text and attempts to redirect Zende’s conversation and proposal.

Deacon is surprised by Brooke’s arrival at Il Giardino and quickly clarifies that he is not the bartender, that he’s just filling in. He reflects on Christmas and how much it meant to him to spend time with Hope. Brooke asks Deacon about the bottle of non-alcoholic champagne Eric served at Christmas and asks to order some for her New Year’s celebration. Sheila arrives and watches Brooke and Deacon’s interaction. She overhears Brooke’s request. Brooke spies Sheila lurking and demands to know what she is up to. Brooke presses
