You Are Always Under The Scanner No Matter What You Do Or Say

Your audio show #NoFilterNeha has got a great response. What was your thought process when you came up with the idea?

We worked to keep it simple. My thought process was to have great conversations with people who are friends of mine and also famous. Everybody thinks that when celebs are together, they are either discussing movies or their private life. This is the typical picture that is painted but there is so much more in conversations that we have and there was definitely a need to bring that out. And I was sure that people all around would like to know these conversations. I have always been a fan of very simple ideas. So #NoFilterNeha is just an extension of the person I am. I have always loved having conversations. And I am glad that an audio show like this has got such traction. It makes me feel confident of the people I associate myself with and the choices that I have made.

What’s the difference in asking the questions than answering them yourself?

Oh, I feel so relieved that I get to ask the questions and not answer them. It’s much easier. But I am also walking on a tight rope here. There is a very thin line that I share between trying to make sure that I don’t offend the person who is sitting in front of me by asking them something that they don’t like to be asked and at the same time, trying to get enough information that the consumer finds it funny and interesting. So I have to walk that thin line but more often than not, I manage to do it. Till now we have done two seasons, we have been giving great episodes and at the same time, in no circumstance have we ever offended anyone who has come on the show.

This year you were in Hindi Medium and now Tumhari Sulu is on the cards. Do you think the success of your show has landed you more roles?
